About

Christy Riggs

Originally from Bellingham, Washington, I competed in figure skating under the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) for four years and participated in select soccer with the Whatcom County F.C. Rangers from U11 to U18. I also continued playing in the Whatcom County Adult Soccer Association until 2017.

In high school, I discovered strength training and incorporated powerlifting into my routine. In 2014, a neurologist advised me to try light cardio on an elliptical during migraines, which led to significant relief from both migraines and JRA symptoms. Additionally, I explored dietary adjustments through an elimination process, discovering that a plant-based diet helped reduce inflammation from JRA and eliminated migraines. These personal experiences inspired my desire to assist others in improving their lives through fitness.

To pursue this goal, I obtained a Personal Training Certification from Bellingham Technical College, earning my ACE certification in 2018. With this qualification, I began coaching in June 2018. Since then, I have continued to expand my expertise by earning certifications as a CF-L2 Trainer and USAW Level 1 Coach.

My energetic personality, supportive approach, and focus on proper technique enable me to motivate and guide clients on their journey toward positive health and fitness outcomes.
